Reverse description The reverse presents partial Arabic Kufic legends arranged in horizontal lines across the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle and a fragmentary outer legend band, the latter only partially preserved due to the irregular flan and heavy wear. The central inscription, though partially legible, follows the standard Islamic religious formula typical of Andalusian taifa coinage, likely incorporating a portion of the Shahada or pious invocation. The script is angular Kufic in style, characteristic of the Banu Jahwar issues of Córdoba during the mid-eleventh century. The flan is irregular and undersized relative to the dies, resulting in significant legend loss at the margins.
