The central inscription, though partially legible, follows the standard Islamic religious formula typical of Andalusian taifa coinage, likely incorporating a portion of the Shahada or pious invocation. The script is angular Kufic in style, characteristic of the Banu Jahwar issues of Córdoba during the mid-eleventh century. The flan is irregular and undersized relative to the dies, resulting in significant legend loss at the margins. |
