The emperor is depicted in military dress, with a paludamentum (cloak) fastened at the shoulder and visible segmented cuirass beneath. The surrounding Latin legend reads IMP C MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, running clockwise within a beaded border. The portraiture reflects the austere, blocky style characteristic of the Tetrarchic period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Galerius, depicted draped and cuirassed, stands facing right and receives a small Victory statuette mounted on a globe from Jupiter, who stands to the left leaning on a long sceptre. The composition conveys the divine sanction of imperial authority over military affairs. An officina letter appears in the central field, and the mint abbreviation ALE is placed in the exergue. The reverse legend CONCORDIA MILITVM, broken across the field, celebrates the harmony between emperor and army. The style is typical of the Alexandrian mint under Diocletianic reform coinage. |
