The emperor's effigy displays elaborate drapery over the cuirass, with the pearl diadem clearly articulated across the brow. The circular Latin legend runs along the rim of the obverse field. The portrait conveys imperial authority through its formal, frontal presentation of military and civic regalia. |

The composition follows the standard late Roman military emperor type, conveying themes of Roman glory and imperial power. |
