| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Jovianus facing left, rendered in low relief with the characteristic late Roman imperial portrait style. The effigy displays a pearl diadem across the brow and military cuirass with paludamentum draped over the shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend DN IOVIANVS PF AVG reads around the bust within a beaded border. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of late Roman hammered bronze coinage of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field features the votive inscription VOT V arranged in two lines within a laurel wreath tied at the base, symbolising Jovianus's vow for five years of reign. The mintmark CONSPA appears in the exergue, identifying this issue as struck at the Constantinopolis mint, officina Prima (first workshop). A beaded border encircles the entire design. This type, attesting to vows fulfilled and renewed, is characteristic of the brief reign of Jovianus following the death of Julian. |
