The mintmark CONSPA appears in the exergue, identifying this issue as struck at the Constantinopolis mint, officina Prima (first workshop). A beaded border encircles the entire design. This type, attesting to vows fulfilled and renewed, is characteristic of the brief reign of Jovianus following the death of Julian. |
