| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Helena facing right, wearing a necklace and a pearl diadem, rendered in the late Roman imperial portrait style typical of the Constantinian period. The effigy displays the customary mantle draped over the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend FL IVL HELENAE AVG runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the subject as the Augusta Flavia Julia Helena. The coin is struck on a small, irregular bronze flan with heavily worn surfaces exhibiting a green patina throughout. |
