Between the two soldiers stands a single legionary standard surmounted by a round finial, the defining feature distinguishing this two-standard type's later single-standard variant as issued for Constans as Caesar. The encircling legend GLORIA EXERCITVS proclaims the glory of the army. The mint mark in the exergue denotes the Siscia officina, with the delta (∆) indicating the fourth workshop. |
