| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Arcadius facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a pearl diadem and paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The surrounding Latin legend reads D N ARCA-DI AVG (Dominus Noster Arcadius Augustus), distributed on either side of the bust within a dotted border. The flan is small and irregular, with the portrait occupying the majority of the obverse field. The coin shows heavy green patination consistent with extended burial. |
