Obverse description A large stylized Florentine lily (fleur-de-lis) occupies the central field, rendered in the Gothic manner with three prominent petals and scrolling foliate extensions terminating in rounded lobes with hatched detail. The stem rises from a stepped base and is flanked by symmetrical curling fronds. A circular Latin legend runs within a beaded border around the periphery of the coin.
