Obverse description Central field features a stylized figure of Garuda, the divine eagle, depicted in full stride facing right with wings dramatically outstretched. The deity is rendered in a bold, archaic relief characteristic of South Indian medieval hammered coinage, with exaggerated limbs conveying dynamic movement. The irregular flan edge is typical of the hand-struck production technique employed by the Madurai Nayak mint.
