| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend in Nastaliq script indicating the mint name Bushehr (بوشهر) and the regnal formula zarb, meaning 'struck at.' The AH date 1270 appears as part of the inscription, with the century digits (12) partially implied by convention. A beaded border runs along the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan. Small floral or star ornaments appear in the field beside the inscription. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Naser al-Din Shah's provincial copper coinage was largely an acknowledgment of practical necessity — the central Tehran mint could not reliably supply small-denomination currency to distant ports and regional centers. Bushehr, operating as Iran's principal Gulf trading port and already under significant pressure from British commercial interests, maintained its own local striking to keep petty transactions moving. The Abushahr mint's output was irregular and dies were cut locally, which accounts for the considerable variation in fabric and execution seen across surviving examples.
