The design is executed in bold, low relief characteristic of hammered Afghan copper coinage. A beaded border encircles the entire composition, following the irregular flan edge. The field surrounding the central motif is plain and slightly uneven due to the hand-struck technique. |

The bold, deeply struck calligraphic characters are typical of Herati mint copper issues of this period. The inscription reads 'falus Herat zarb' with the date distributed within or around the legend. The irregular flan and hammered technique result in partial legend loss near the edges on some specimens. |
