Obverse description The field is divided into registers by two horizontal cable borders. The uppermost register bears the mint name of Trablus (Tripoli), while the central register contains the titulature of Sultan al-Malik al-Salih Hajji II in Arabic script. The inscription is arranged horizontally within the divided field, characteristic of late Mamluk hammered coinage. The overall layout reflects the formal administrative style typical of Mamluk fals issues from provincial mints.
