| Reverse description | Central field contains a schematic design within a circular inner ring, variously interpreted as a highly stylized portrait, a fruit, or a floral motif — consistent with transitional pre-reform or local workshop typology found on Tabariya (Tiberias) mint fals. A circumferential inscription in Arabic Kufic script surrounds the central circular device. The flan is irregular and heavily patinated with green and red cuprite surfaces, characteristic of excavated or long-circulated Umayyad copper. The imagery is worn and partially indistinct, reflecting the rough hammered technique and irregular flan preparation common to provincial Umayyad bronze issues. |
