| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by a seated figure in frontal posture, depicted in a stylized manner characteristic of Artuqid-influenced Ayyubid copper coinage. The figure, likely representing the enthroned ruler, is rendered in low relief with schematic drapery folds visible despite heavy wear and green patination. An Arabic kufic or naskhi legend surrounds or frames the central device, reading the laqab and name of al-Nasir Salah al-Din Yusuf. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-struck hammered production. Surface shows pronounced die wear and green cuprite patina typical of circulated Ayyubid copper issues. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription in naskhi script arranged horizontally across the flan, reading the titles and name of the Zengid overlord al-Salih Isma'il ibn Mahmud. The lower portion of the field carries the mint and date formula, recording the Hijri year 570 or 571 and the mint of Damascus. A decorative border or marginal legend may frame the inscription on certain die varieties, with arabesque floreate ornaments noted on specific type classifications. The flan is irregular and shows the characteristic uneven strike of hammered Ayyubid copper coinage, with areas of flat strike and surface corrosion. Overall preservation reflects heavy circulation with green patina partially obscuring the finer details of the inscription. |
