Reverse description Reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in horizontal registers across the irregular hammered flan, likely containing a religious formula or mint and date information referencing the reign of al-Mu'izz Aybak. The die is crudely struck and off-center, leaving portions of the legend partially visible or flat. The surface is heavily corroded with areas of dark patina and green oxidation typical of base-metal Mamluk issues of this period.
