正面描述 Crudely hammered copper flan displaying a central Arabic inscription within the field, arranged in multiple lines, typical of Mamluk fals coinage. The legend, rendered in angular Naskh script, occupies the central zone and is partially encircled by a dotted or beaded border. The overall strike is irregular and off-center, consistent with hand-hammered provincial mint production. Surface shows natural green-brown patina with areas of encrustation. The design elements are characteristic of the Tripoli (Trablus) mint output under al-Ashraf Sha'ban II.

附加信息

Al-Ashraf Sha'ban II came to power at age ten following the murder of his predecessor, with real authority held by senior amirs for much of his reign. He was eventually killed by his own emirs in 1377 — a fate that had become almost routine in the later Mamluk succession. Copper fals from the Tripoli mint are scarcer than Cairo or Damascus output from this reign; Tripoli's mint operated intermittently, and its production volumes were never substantial.
