| Reverse description | The reverse presents a further Arabic inscription in multiple lines within the central field, giving the mint name Trablus (Tripoli) and likely the regnal or Hijri date reference. The strike is weak in areas, with the legend partially legible due to the irregular flan and characteristic undercutting of the hammered die. A partial dotted border frames the inscription zone. The overall style is consistent with late Mamluk provincial copper coinage, exhibiting the bold but roughly executed calligraphy typical of the Trablus mint in the AH 760s–770s. |
