Reverse description A long cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular pattern, closely following the English sterling type that inspired continental esterlin coinage. The cross is bold and well-defined, with each quadrant enclosed by an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin letters reads COM ESL VCEB VOR, a contracted form of Comes Luxemburgi, identifying the issuer as Count of Luxembourg.
