| Obverse description | Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, with a globe placed at the point of the neck truncation, a characteristic element on certain Flavian bronzes serving as an attribute of imperial dominion. The portrait is rendered in the naturalistic style typical of the Flavian dynasty, conveying the emperor's mature, strong-featured physiognomy. The surrounding Latin legend runs clockwise along the periphery of the flan. The flan itself is irregular, as is characteristic of hammered Roman imperial bronzes of this period. |

| Reverse description | The goddess Roma personified is depicted seated left upon a cuirass, rendered in a dignified, martial pose. In her extended right hand she holds a small figure of Victory, while her left hand grasps a parazonium (a short sword or dagger), emblematic of Roman military power. A grouping of shields is visible in the background behind the figure, reinforcing the martial iconography. The field bears the senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) flanking the central type, as was standard practice for Roman aes coinage. The reverse legend ROMA appears above or around the central figure, identifying the personification. |
