| Beschrijving keerzijde | A Roman war galley (navis longa) proceeding to the left, depicted with a row of oars in motion beneath the hull and a prominent aphlaston (stern ornament) curving upward at the stern. At the prow, a figurehead — identifiable as Minerva Promachus, a Triton, or Pegasus depending on die variety per RIC II.3 1299 — projects forward. The letters S and C (Senatus Consultum) are positioned in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the vessel.
