The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the field, flanking the reverse legend, affirming the Senate's role in authorising bronze coinage. The composition reflects the standard Nervan reverse type promoting Fortuna Augusti as a dynastic virtue. |
