By that year, the Parthian settlement engineered by Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo had technically resolved the Armenian crisis, but Nero's triumphal posturing masked the reality that Corbulo had done the actual fighting. Within two years, Nero would order Corbulo to commit suicide.
