The emperor is depicted wearing a paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder, with the points of the radiate crown clearly visible. The surrounding field carries a beaded border, and the Latin legend encircles the effigy from left to right. The portrait reflects the refined Hellenistic artistic influence that distinguishes Hadrianic coinage from earlier Flavian issues. |

The partial legend FORT RED is inscribed along the lower exergual area, while the remainder of the titulature P M TR P COS III encircles the upper field, all within a beaded border.
