The legend FORTVNAE REDVCI, invoking Fortune's safe return, arcs around the upper field, with the senatorial authorisation mark S C prominently displayed in the lower exergual area. The composition is characteristic of Hadrianic reverse types celebrating the emperor's return from travels. |
