| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with pronounced facial features including a short beard and strong jaw, characteristic of the aged emperor's portraiture. A globe appears at the point of the neck truncation, symbolising world dominion. The bold, encircling legend is incuse in Latin capitals, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait style reflects the realistic, unidealized approach typical of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian-era Imperial bronze coinage. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Fides (Faith/Loyalty), draped in flowing robes, stands in a three-quarter pose turned to the left. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, the libation dish associated with sacrificial ritual, while her left hand supports a cornucopiae, symbolising abundance and prosperity. The senatorial authority for the issue is denoted by the large S C (Senatus Consultum) flanking the central figure in the field. The legend FIDES PVBLICA above identifies the allegorical subject as Public Fidelity, a virtue prominently promoted during Galba's brief reign to legitimise his accession. |
