| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts the standing Lion of Holland, shown in profile facing left, rampant, holding an upright pole surmounted by a Liberty cap (Phrygian cap) in its raised right paw and a bundle of arrows in its left. The lion stands within an enclosed garden or hortus conclusus, represented by a low fence or palisade at the base, symbolising the sovereignty and liberty of the Dutch Republic. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, with the milled border repeated around the circumference, consistent with the obverse treatment. |
