| Beschrijving voorzijde | The field is entirely occupied by the province name HOLLANDIA, divided across three lines in large Roman capital letters. A small rosette or flower ornament flanked by two pellets appears above the inscription, serving as a mint or decorative mark. The date 1739 is inscribed in the exergue below the province name. The coin is bordered by a milled or toothed inner rim running along the entire circumference, a characteristic feature of Dutch provincial coinage of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts the standing Lion of Holland, shown in profile facing left, rampant, holding an upright pole surmounted by a Liberty cap (Phrygian cap) in its raised right paw and a bundle of arrows in its left. The lion stands within an enclosed garden or hortus conclusus, represented by a low fence or palisade at the base, symbolising the sovereignty and liberty of the Dutch Republic. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, with the milled border repeated around the circumference, consistent with the obverse treatment. |
