| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse bears the abbreviated provincial inscription in three lines within the field, reading GRON / ET OML / 1692, denoting Groningen and the Ommelanden with the date below. The lettering is rendered in large, bold Roman capitals typical of hammered Dutch provincial coinage of the late seventeenth century. The coin exhibits an irregular flan edge consistent with hand-hammered production, with a beaded inner border visible on portions of the periphery. No portrait or additional emblematic device appears; the inscription alone fills the entire obverse field. |
