| Obverse description | A fully armored knight, depicted in dynamic martial posture, brandishes a drawn sword aloft with his right hand while mounted on a rearing horse advancing to right. Beneath the horse, a crowned shield bearing the arms of the Duchy of Gelderland occupies the lower field. The surrounding Latin legend is separated by pellet stops and runs along the coin's periphery. The design is executed in high relief characteristic of piedfort coinage, with bold, expressive hammered workmanship. |

| Reverse description | A crowned escutcheon bearing the quartered arms of the Seven United Provinces is centrally positioned in the field, flanked on each side by a rampant lion passant guardant serving as heraldic supporter. The date appears in the upper field above the crown. The encircling Latin motto legend is punctuated by pellet stops and runs along the full periphery. The reverse composition is formal and heraldic in character, consistent with the silver rider coinage series of the Dutch provincial issues. |
