Reverse description The legend DUCATUS REIPUBLICÆ LUCERNENSIS, with the engraver's initials I·T and the date 1741 below, is displayed within an ornate Baroque cartouche framed by symmetrical acanthus scrollwork and foliate branches. A floral spray decorates the upper portion of the cartouche, while scrolling tendrils fill the lower corners, creating a richly decorative surround consistent with the high Baroque die-engraving tradition of 18th-century Swiss minting. The text is arranged in five lines within the central field, with no additional border legend.
