| Descrizione del dritto | Effigy of Yazdgerd III facing right, depicted in the Sasanian royal tradition with a mural crown surmounted by a frontal crescent, two spread wings, and a star set upon the crescent. Ribbons adorn the left shoulder while a crescent and ribbon appear on the right, with stars flanking the crown on either side. The broad marginal border is decorated with a repeating series of star-in-crescent devices, a hallmark of late Sasanian coinage. The portrait is executed in the characteristic high-relief, stylized manner of Sasanian die engraving, with strong facial definition and elaborate headdress detail. Inscriptional Pahlavi legends appear in the field. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A fire altar with pendant ribbons occupies the center of the field, flanked symmetrically by two standing attendants in the traditional Sasanian priestly pose. A star and crescent appear on either side of the altar flames, emphasizing the Zoroastrian sacred imagery central to Sasanian numismatic iconography. The design is enclosed within a double linear border, and the broad outer margin is filled with a continuous series of star-in-crescent devices consistent with the obverse decoration. Pahlavi inscriptions, including the mint name and regnal year, appear in the field alongside the attendant figures. The composition reflects the standardized reverse type employed throughout the Sasanian dynastic series. |
