Pellet or annulet ornaments are visible in the field, serving as decorative or symbolic fillers. The overall composition is vigorous and deeply rooted in the abstract Gaulish artistic vocabulary. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat off-center, as is typical of hammered Gaulish silver drachms. |
