| Beschrijving keerzijde | A fire altar with a central flaming top and a trefoil of pellets decorating the altar shaft is depicted in the center of the field, flanked by billowing ribbons at its sides. Varhran II (Bahram II) and his queen stand as attendant figures on either side of the altar, both facing inward toward the sacred flame, with the queen holding a diadem ring — a symbol of royal investiture — in the Zoroastrian devotional tradition. Symbolic devices flank the flames above the altar. Inscriptions in Inscriptional Pahlavi occupy the surrounding field, recording the king's name and titulature. The composition follows the canonical Sasanian reverse type, emphasizing the dynasty's role as guardians of the sacred fire. |
