Symbolic devices flank the flames above the altar. Inscriptions in Inscriptional Pahlavi occupy the surrounding field, recording the king's name and titulature. The composition follows the canonical Sasanian reverse type, emphasizing the dynasty's role as guardians of the sacred fire. |
