| Obverse description | Highly stylized Celtic head facing right, adorned with a laurel wreath, the design framed by two parallel rows of pellets. The portrait exhibits the characteristic abstract treatment of La Tène Celtic coinage, with schematic facial features reduced to curvilinear forms. The laureate head is rendered in low relief with deeply simplified anatomical detail typical of Boii tribal coinage. |

| Additional information |
The Boii were expelled from Bohemia by the Marcomanni around 50–60 BC, forcing a southward migration that brought them into the Middle Danube region. This displacement explains the geographic clustering of Tótfalu-type finds in what is now southern Slovakia and northern Hungary — these coins are effectively a refugee coinage, struck by a people in the process of territorial collapse. The type shows significant die-link variation across known specimens, suggesting small-batch production rather than any centralized mint authority.
