The portrait is executed in the refined late Classical style, with strong facial modelling and naturalistic detail characteristic of Pontic coinage of the period. |

The magistrate's name appears in two lines in the right field (ΠΟΛΥ above), while the city ethnic (ΣΙΝΩ) is inscribed in the lower field below the dolphin, all in crisp Greek capitals. The design type is a long-standing emblem of Sinopean civic coinage, appearing consistently across the city's silver issues from the Classical through early Hellenistic periods. |
