| Description de l’avers | Draped bust of the city nymph Sinope facing left, her hair bound in a sakkos and rendered in flowing, finely engraved strands swept back from the forehead. A pendant earring is visible at the ear, and a beaded necklace adorns the neck. An aphlastron (stern ornament of a ship) appears in the left field, serving as a civic symbol referencing Sinope's maritime prominence. The portrait is executed in the refined late Classical style, with strong facial modelling and naturalistic detail characteristic of Pontic coinage of the period. |

| Description du revers | A sea-eagle, wings spread and rendered with sharply engraved feather detail, perches upon and grasps a dolphin moving to the left, the dolphin's body arching gracefully beneath the bird. The composition fills the field dynamically, referencing Sinope's identity as a major Black Sea port city. The magistrate's name appears in two lines in the right field (ΠΟΛΥ above), while the city ethnic (ΣΙΝΩ) is inscribed in the lower field below the dolphin, all in crisp Greek capitals. The design type is a long-standing emblem of Sinopean civic coinage, appearing consistently across the city's silver issues from the Classical through early Hellenistic periods. |
