| Descrizione del dritto | Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing hair partially visible beneath the prominent sun rays emanating from the crown of the head. The youthful, idealized effigy displays delicate facial features with a straight nose and slightly parted lips. A loose, wind-swept lock of hair curls dramatically beneath the rays on the left side of the head, characteristic of the plintophoric series coinage of Rhodes. The field is otherwise plain, with no legend or border. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A fully open rose with detailed petals occupies the central field, with a rose bud on a stem curving to the right, serving as the civic emblem of Rhodes. The letters Ρ and Ο are positioned on either side of the rose, abbreviating the ethnic ΡΟΔΙΩΝ. The magistrate's name ΦΙΛΟΚΡΑΤΗΣ is inscribed above in Greek letters, while a bucranium (ox skull) appears as a secondary symbol in the lower left field. The entire design is set within a shallow square incuse border, characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric drachm series. |
