Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Orodes II facing left, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine detail to the hair and diadem. A star appears in the left field, while to the right a crescent surmounts a second star, serving as royal and dynastic symbols characteristic of Arsacid coinage. The portrait is executed in a slightly impressionistic style typical of late Parthian die-cutting, with the drapery indicated by incised lines at the shoulder.
