| Obverse description | Radiate head of Helios in high relief, turned three-quarters to the right, rendered in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Rhodian coinage. The solar deity's youthful, idealized visage displays flowing wavy hair swept back beneath a prominent radiate crown of seven diverging rays. Fine die-cutting is evident in the delicate facial modelling, with well-articulated features including a sharp profile, almond-shaped eye, and softly parted lips. The field is smooth and unlettered, with the portrait dominating the flan. |

| Reverse description | A fully open rose with petals spread, depicted frontally at centre, with a budding secondary rose on a lateral stem to the left — the civic emblem of Rhodes. The magistrate's name ΜΑΗΣ (Mahes) appears in the upper field, with the ethnic abbreviation PO (for ΡΟΔΙΩΝ, Rhodians) distributed in the field. To the lower right, an Isis crown serves as a secondary control symbol. The entire design is contained within a shallow square incuse (plinthophoron format), a hallmark of the late Rhodian drachm series. |
