| Beschrijving voorzijde | Rightward-facing effigy of Khusro II (Khusraw II) wearing an elaborate mural crown surmounted by a frontal crescent, two wings, and a star-in-crescent device, with ribbons and crescent ornaments at the shoulders. Stars flank the crown on either side, and the bust is enclosed within a double beaded border. The outer margin is populated with star-in-crescent symbols, the Pahlavi mintmark inscription 'APD', and an eleven-pointed star, all rendered in the distinctive late Sasanian hammered style. |
