A diadem of two rows of pellets encircles the royal head, and a hair-globe is rendered at the nape of the neck. A crescent appears above each shoulder, while the trailing ends of a second ribbon — each terminating in a six-pointed star — emerge from behind the shoulders. Crescents with globes are symmetrically placed at left, right, and below within the beaded rim. A Pahlavi inscription reading kdy kw·t (Great Kavad) occupies the field. |
