| Description de l’avers | Celticized laureate and bearded head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the characteristically abstract Celtic idiom derived from Macedonian prototypes. The facial features are boldly stylised, with the beard indicated by a series of schematic lines and the laurel wreath reduced to a decorative pattern of pellets and curved strokes. A dotted border runs along the right edge of the flan, typical of the Kapostal series. The overall design reflects the progressive abstraction of the Hellenistic prototype by Celtic die-cutters. |

| Description du revers | Stylised equestrian figure advancing to left, the rider depicted wearing a crested helmet with an elongated plume rendered in schematic relief. The horse and rider are highly abstracted in the Celtic artistic tradition, with the limbs reduced to geometric forms. A pellet appears before the horse in the field. The composition derives ultimately from the reverse type of Macedonian coinage of Philip II, reinterpreted through successive generations of Celtic die-cutting into a near-geometric design. |
