| 裏面の説明 | Zeus Aetophoros enthroned to the left on a backless throne, his lower body draped, torso naked to the waist; his legs are crossed at the ankle. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle, while his left hand grasps a tall scepter adorned with pellets along its shaft. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the left field appear a monogram and the letter Π, serving as mint control marks identifying the Teos issue. |

Struck at Teos on the Ionian coast following Alexander's death in 323 BC, this issue falls within the protracted coinage produced under the successors — the Diadochi — who continued minting in Alexander's name as a deliberate act of political continuity rather than personal commemoration. Teos had been refounded by Antigonus I Monophthalmus around 304–302 BC, absorbing the population of nearby Lebedos, and the mint's activity fits squarely within Antigonus's western Anatolian consolidation. Price 2303 is a relatively scarce attribution within the Tean series.
