Obverse description Youthful, beardless head of Herakles facing right, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown; the paws are knotted beneath the chin. The portrait is rendered in the fine Lysippan style characteristic of Alexandrine coinage, with strong facial modeling. A beaded border encircles the design.
