Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and draped from the waist, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. Below the throne, an ivy leaf appears as a mint control symbol, while a spearhead pointing upward is placed in the right field as a secondary control mark. The composition is characteristic of the Colophon mint issues struck in the name of Alexander III.
