Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned facing left, naked to the waist with a himation draped over his lower body and legs, seated upon a throne with dotted back visible at right. His extended right hand holds an eagle perched with wings closed, while his raised left hand rests upon a long sceptre. In the left field, a star appears above a Macedonian helmet, serving as mint control symbols associated with the Abydos issue. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, and the composition reflects the canonical reverse type established under Alexander III and continued by his successors.
