| Reverse description | A lion passant to the right, rendered with naturalistic musculature and a prominent mane, striding above a ground line. The tail is raised and curled over the back in characteristic fashion. Below the ground line, in the exergue, appears a Aramaic ligature or monogram, identified as 'AY' or 'ΛY' ligate, serving as a secondary control or mint mark. The whole is contained within a beaded border typical of Achaemenid-period coinage from Babylon. |
